Careers at Biographica

Biographica generates the biological assets behind better crops. <br><br>We find the causal, editable gene targets for a crop trait, design the edits that move it, and partner with seed companies to take them to the field.
<br><br>&nbsp;Improving a trait takes years, and most candidate targets never validate. Seed companies rarely lack predictions — what's scarce is a target that holds up in their germplasm, and every failed cycle costs a breeding season that money can't buy back. So we build models that respect the structure of biology rather than proxies for it, with interpretable evidence behind every ranking. Fewer things to validate, a higher hit rate on the ones that matter.<br>

About Us

Cecy studied Biological Sciences at Oxford University and has an MSc in ML from Imperial College London, specialising in graph-based biological modelling. At Biographica, Cecy leads strategy and business development, leveraging prior experience in drug manufacturing and supply chain at GSK as well as market access strategy consulting for gene-editing technologies.

Cecily Price

Dom has Masters degrees in Maths and Stem Cell Biology, as well as a PhD in Computational Genomics, from Cambridge. In his PhD, and later as an ML researcher at Relation Therapeutics, Dom applied graph ML to target discovery. He leads platform development at Biographica, drawing inspiration from drug discovery to design efficient target discovery methods for crop gene-editing.

<div>We're growing our experimental team and looking for a plant scientist to join us at our lab in Harpenden. You'll work closely with our computational scientists to design experiments, build and run assays, and generate the data our models learn from.</div>
